The National Folk Festival

Thank you for supporting the National Folk Festival in Nashville. 
Volunteer registration is now open. Please visit our online registration site and  SIGN UP NOW!
 
You can help the festival by volunteering in these areas: 

• Backstage and Site Management – stationed near one of several stage locations, volunteers will assist with seating, crowd control and lost children. Some will also serve as assistant to the performers and stage managers.

• Bucket Brigade – collect donations from audience members to support continued production of the festival.

• Craft Marketplace – Volunteers will help set up, resupply and offer breaks to our festival retail vendors. o

• Family Area – assist staff and artists with demonstrations and activities for our festival’s young guests o

• Floaters – ready to assist wherever needed o Folklife Area – ready to assist staff and artists in our Folklife Area 

• Information Services – Welcome festivalgoers, assist, direct and recommend sites. Information booths are located at critical junctures throughout the festival. Volunteers are provided information and asked to communicate to festival goers.

• Parking – assist with public parking lots and transportation shuttles

• Set-up and take-down – this takes place leading up to and following the festival. Volunteers are asked to assist with everything from stage and audience area set-up to putting chairs and tables in the right places.

• Merchandise/Sales – Assist the management team in selling performer CDs and festival merchandise to festivalgoers.

• General Assistant -- ready to assist festival management with lodging, front office needs, traffic, vendor support or general assistance.

The National Folk Festival depends greatly on the many generous Nashvillians who volunteer their time and energy to making this fun event successful.
