Jackson, MS — The 82 nd National Folk Festival is thrilled to announce its Family Area programming, a vibrant and interactive space designed for young audiences and their families to enjoy at the festival. Located in Downtown Jackson, the Family Area features the Community Foundation for Mississippi/W.K. Kellogg Foundation Family Stage and the C Spire Foundation

Join us on Thursday, November 6th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM in Ms. Myrlie's Garden at the Medgar and Myrlie Evers House National Monument for a Block Party celebrating community, sustainability, and artistic expression!  Take in a performance from Delta blues musician and instrument maker Super Chikan, learn about fall gardening with community gardener Ms. Norma, and be inspired by  poetry and spoken word from local artists, including students and faculty from Jackson State Univers
